BeNet competed with 8 other projects in category “Municipal administration” for this award – among those being BulevArt project of Burgas municipality and the video surveillance system of Pomorie municipality – but won the highest vote by the jury. The award was received by the mayor of Sozopol Panayot Reysi.
The annual contest “IT Project of the Year” has been organized by ICT Media – the company standing behind ComputerWorld Bulgaria – for 15th year on end. Its goal is to acknowledge and reward the most innovative and efficient IT projects that contribute to the integration and development of technologies in Bulgarian companies and industries, in the public sector and the urban environment.
The contest jury highly praised BeNet’s functionality that allows to transmit useful tourist information to the mobile devices of the visitors of Sozopol. This information includes tourist sights, accommodations, restaurants, activities, cultural events and stores located in vicinity of the user. Thus BeNet presents vast opportunities for growth, for both the local businesses and the public administration.

Me and my team are putting great effort into developing its tourist services even further, and BeNet application is the best possible solution for both the numerous tourists visiting us and the local hotel and restaurant businesses” – said the mayor Panayot Reysi and thanked for the high praise and the IT Project of the Year award.
